Why It Works

You might think that getting fit just takes too much time and effort.  You might also think that getting great results (even in your 40’s like me) is too hard if not impossible. Not so when you have the right information within reach; more importantly apply it!

The good news is, it IS possible and easier than you think.

My methods are different because they actually are safe, incredibly effective and are based on real exercise science and not 90-day hype. If they didn’t work, I wouldn’t be in the same shape I am in now as I was when I landed my first cover of Men’s Fitness magazine over ten years ago.

Besides being so effective and safe, these methods are so simple and even better don’t take much time at all. As a matter of fact, I probably spend less than 4 hours per week TOTAL actually training- that leaves a ton of time for me to do whatever else I want.

The coolest thing is- while these methods improve my athletic performance (I can still run a sub 5 second 40 yard dash) at the same time they hold back the aging process from the inside out. Ultimately, keeping you healthy for the long term is the priority; your outward appearance is just a awesome bonus!

In a nutshell, I use short bursts of targeted high-effort movements  vs. long bouts of boring, low-effort training (like jogging on a tread mill) which just doesn’t work and takes too much time. To illustrate this, compare an Olympic sprinter to an Olympic long-distance runner. Who looks healthier?

In essence you train smarter, with more intensity at shorter periods of time for more efficient, lasting results. The body’s response to this type of training is to create leaner, fat burning muscle and this stays at work for you around the clock, even while you aren’t training! Think of it as science’s way to “program” your body.

Here’s where it gets really cool. Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC for short) is what allows such amazing results. This type of training helps the body naturally produce more HGH (human growth hormone). Known as the youth hormone we all have it at higher levels in our younger years, male or female.
